The Mas de Boislauzon La Chaussynette Rose 2020 is made in the neighborhood of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the ancient Roman city Orange. Winemaking at Mas de Boislauzon goes back six generations and currently brother and sister Daniel and Christine Chaussy manage things. They were certified organic in 2012, employ biodynamic practices and make some exceptional reds, whites, and pinks. Old vine Mourvedre, Grenache, and Syrah are the main players, and we’re terribly fortunate to have some bottles of their pink wine made from those varieties. Finally we think these are some of the best examples of modern, sustainably practiced Rhone wine on the market today.

The La Chaussynette is designated a Vin de France, which means its too good to sell as bulk wine. That’s how we frame it anyway. Into a bottle this perfect pink goes quickly, then on a boat to America.  This is a bone dry blend of Grenache and Syrah with mild aromas and flavors of strawberries, lemon and lime peels, salty stone and herbs de Provence. Delicate, delicious, and under screw cap for freshness staying power. Buy this SIX at a time.
